Our team keeps an eye on what is coming down the road in Office 365 and other Microsoft technologies to ensure that you can be ready to take advantage of new features to empower your users for success. In addition to general notices, we discuss adoption of new features in a weekly or monthly meeting, depending on the managed services agreement. We roll out some content such as the first few modules of our Nintex Training to the general public and save the best for our managed services customers.
As of yesterday, Microsoft rolled out a preview for its Office 365 early adopters on some of the SharePoint 2016 technology that is coming soon. In this case, we are getting a preview of the new look for Document Libraries.
Here is a small preview of some of the expected changes…
There is a high resemblance to OneDrive now, and while the functionality remains, the ribbon is gone.
Click on these three dots and you can modify the view on the fly:
Library settings are now found in the overall settings menu:
You still click on the three dots to get to the items menu, but it also will look a bit different:
