January 27th, 2016
Kurt Greening, Director of Productivity Solutions at Xgility, was interviewed by John Gilroy (@raygilray) on Federal News Radio as an expert on Windows Mobile Apps in the Federal government. The full interview can be found on here.
You can view the Q&A below:
Q: What’s the name of the app?
A: Nintex Mobile
Q: Who is the target user?
A: Anybody with SharePoint or Office 365, which is most of the Federal Government.
Q: What is the value?
A: The app can be used by anybody that needs to provide approvals as part of a workflow. This could be finance or human resources for a mission based application. As a second example, let’s say you are the FDA and need to complete mobile inspections. Nintex Mobile will allow inspectors to work on their mobile device offline as well as use the embedded features such as location services and camera to take pictures or scan barcodes. Inspectors can fill out forms that sync with SharePoint and use built-in SharePoint security.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: It is included for users with Nintex for Office 365 or Nintex Forms. For Office 365 customers, it is priced by user and Nintex Forms is priced based on the number of SharePoint servers.
Q: Where can they get it?
A: The app can be downloaded for free in the Windows Store, Google Play, or iTunes Store. Most federal agencies will deploy Nintex Mobile as a custom branded application pushed out by their mobile device management application to approved devices.
