Introduction to SharePoint – In this training session, we will introduce SharePoint 2016 and cover the basics of navigating the site, working with document libraries and lists, working with search, item, and list level permissions, and the importance of metadata. We will also explain document management concepts such as version control, check in/out, and collaborative editing. Students should bring a laptop with them, if possible, to participate in exercises. This session is required prior to taking “Advanced concepts in SharePoint 2016.”
Advanced Concepts in SharePoint – In this training session, we will build on the concepts discussed in the “Introduction to SharePoint” session. The session will focus on building your team site by adding customized document libraries and lists, creating views, and adding web parts to your team site. We will also cover site level permissions management. If possible, students should bring a laptop with them to participate in exercises. Attendance in “Intro to SharePoint” is highly recommended for this training session.
Introduction to SharePoint Workflows – In this training session, we will introduce SharePoint 2016 Workflows and cover the basics of events, actions, conditions, and stages. We will conduct exercises using both built-in SharePoint and SharePoint Designer 2013 workflows. If possible, students should bring a laptop with SharePoint Designer 2013 installed to participate in exercises. Attendance in “Intro to SharePoint” and “Advanced Concepts in SharePoint 2016” is highly recommended for this training session.
OneNote Integration and Team Collaboration – The focus on training is to empower the staff through concepts of team collaboration. Students learn efficiency based on team coordination by sharing team OneNote notebooks on SharePoint which are synchronized with local copies of the team notebook. Students conduct exercises on creation, sharing, and collaborating with OneNote and integration with SharePoint.
Nintex Forms and Workflows – This training can be tailored for Nintex on SharePoint or Office 365 and covers forms, workflow, and mobile. This is a hands-on training where the students will learn to build, edit, import, and export workflows. Attendance in “Intro to SharePoint” and “Advanced Concepts in SharePoint 2016” is highly recommended for this training session.
SharePoint Governance Concepts – In this training, your team will learn the basics of creating a governance committee. This includes the team process agreement and managing an Agile backlog. The components of governance include technical, collaboration, and application governance. The class also covers methods for managing governance and benefits of governance documentation and Wiki’s.
Metalogix Content Matrix – Power users, SharePoint administrators, and site administrators will learn how to use Content Matrix to migrate data from file shares and SharePoint server to newer SharePoint versions or Office 365. Additionally, participants will learn to re-organize SharePoint content post migration. We will discuss migrations scenarios such as basic library, site, and farm migrations to more complex scenarios such as re-organization and metadata enrichment and transformation scenarios such as reorganization and metadata enrichment and transformation. Advanced knowledge of SharePoint recommended.
Metalogix ControlPoint – In this course, SharePoint administrators will learn how to configure and report on user permissions and how to automate the provisioning of sites. Administrators will learn how ControlPoint combines support for automating common tasks with features that are not available out-of-the-box. We will discuss how improperly configured permissions can impact user adoption and expose your organization to unnecessary risk. You will also learn how to identify documents that contain personal and sensitive information as well as monitoring user behavior for suspicious activity. You will also learn how automation such as disabling accounts or creating alerts in order to protect against data leakage or malicious intent.
