Chris is the President of Xgility. Prior to founding Xgility, Chris served as CEO for Solutions Developers where he led them to ten consecutive years of growth and profitability without external investment. Chris also founded Powerlink Technologies, a company that created custom logistics, distribution, and inventory tracking solutions for Fortune 1000 companies such as Duke Energy, CVS, and Elizabeth Arden. Chris holds a degree in Industrial and Management Systems Engineering from West Virginia University, is an active member of Vistage, and is a certified as a Scrum Master in agile project management. He lives in Ashburn, VA with his wife and three children.
Chris is a Solutions Architect for Xgility. In this role, Chris works with customers to identify business outcomes through the application of Microsoft Cloud capabilities. He also ensures our team is aligned with the latest industry developments and resources available to support our customer’s technology roadmap. Prior to Xgility, Chris was a Technology Strategist for Microsoft driving cloud adoption for several financial services, non-profits, and government contractor enterprises. Over the course of his Microsoft tenure, he has helped build successful partner practices. Chris is now taking these methodologies to support the growth we are experiencing at Xgility! Outside of work, you’ll find Coach Ertz out on the little league baseball fields with his two boys and wife (our league president) in Chevy Chase, DC.
Dheepa is a Managing Consultant at Xgility who specializes in Microsoft Technology platforms with over 15 years of industry experience. As an accomplished technical lead and software engineer, she puts emphasis on team development and establishing and incorporating best practices into daily project activities. She has provided subject matter expertise and solved business problems using technology for over 60 commercial, non-profit, and government clients. Dheepa holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and is a Microsoft Certified Professional in SharePoint and .NET framework. She lives in Chantilly, VA with her husband and two kids. She also enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school.
Julie is the Chief Administrative Officer at Xgility. In this role, Julie is responsible for all administrative functions including recruiting, operations, and contracts management. Prior to Xgility, Julie was a customer success manager for SevenSpace, an IT services company, where she was instrumental in customer loyalty and retention. Julie also held customer-facing roles at MicroStrategy, Sun MicroSystems, and smaller technology startups. Julie holds a Masters in Psychology from West Virginia University. She’s the proud mother of three children and three dogs and is active in the youth athletic community.
Neal is the Managed Services Lead at Xgility. With over 12 years of providing SharePoint support and Federal IT consulting, Neal’s clients over the years have included groups in the U.S. Departments of Defense, Justice, Energy, Treasury, Health and Human Services, and Interior. In addition, Neal has held management and oversight roles in several large service support contracts and has focused on providing ongoing support and services around Microsoft products including SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure. Neal holds degrees in Information Systems, Communications, and a Masters in Management Information Systems. Currently, Neal, his wife, and son reside in the Shenandoah River valley in Charles Town, WV.
VP of HR/Finance
Brian is currently the Vice President of HR/Finance at Xgility. He possesses almost 30 years of progressive experience in Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Immigration, and Compliance, with 25 years in management. He led teams in a variety of Accounting and HR software/web implementations to improve efficiency by streamlining workflow, which reduced labor and provided a significant return on investment. Brian led a division of HR tasked with onboarding over 28,000 new hires in 4 years, including 30 mergers, which ultimately helped the company grow from 700 to 15,000+ employees and grow revenue from $400 million to $4.8 billion. He has worked in a variety of industries, including IT, manufacturing, government, real estate, and entertainment. Brian earned a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Illinois and serves on several Boards among civic, education, and business interests. He enjoys investing, philanthropy, water skiing, wakeboarding, and lives in Glen Allen with his wife and 2 children.
Nick is the Tech Lead and Program Manager for one of our largest government clients, the Commodities Futures Trading Commission. He has been working in Microsoft and .NET technologies for 17 years. He was been with Xgility for the past 4.5 years and worked with Chris Hornbecker at his previous company Solutions Developers. At Xgility, Nick has worked on projects for the Highland Group - SharePoint provider hosted application hosted in Azure, Superior Paving - web application hosted in Azure, a Clements portal application hosted in Azure, and Azure web jobs on various projects, all in addition to his full-time work at CFTC. Nick has a B.S. in Computer Science from Muhlenberg College and is a certified Scrum Master. He lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and two children.
